Shaviyani Atoll,37 miles long it is the third atoll at northern part of the Maldives (also known as Miladhunmadulu Uthuruburi). In this atoll, there are 16 Inhabited and 35 Uninhabited the total of 51 islands. Milandhoo is the capital of Shaviyani atoll, before it was Funadhoo this decision was overruled by parliament in June 2010.

Resort islands, airports and industrial islands are also considered uninhabited.
