Where is Maldives?

Maldives is situated in the Indian Ocean and a country of South Asia, which is 450 miles west of Sri Lanka. It is a small nation that consists approximately 1,192 coral islands that form an archipelago of 26 major atolls stretching like a gems across the Indian Ocean. These give us a rare glimpse of a promising paradise and consistently whiter-than-white powder sand and luminous cyan-blue water likes this almost nowhere else on earth.  

Two seasons dominate the Maldives' weather: the dry season associated with the winter northeast monsoon, which is from November to April and the rainy season brought by the summer southwest monsoon which is from May to October. There would be an average annual rainfall of 2,540 millimeters (100 in) in the north and 3,810 millimeters (150 in) in the south. The temperature of Maldives ranges between 24 and 33 °C (75.2 and 91.4 °F) throughout the year. Although the humidity is relatively high, the constant sea breezes help to keep the air moving.
